I was recently told by a health professional to start making some dietary changes. I figured breakfast would be a good meal to begin those necessary changes. I'm basic in the mornings and could easily have the same thing every day. Just ask my husband!
You may think it funny but I am the type of person who needs a recipe to follow at first. After using the recipe, I'm ready to experiment a bit. I need the rock of a recipe to stand on first.
So I started with this smoothie recipe and will tweak it from day to day. You can too!
Super Goat Milk Smoothie
1/2 ripe banana
1/2 cup of berries (today I used organic blackberries)
1 Tablespoon organic creamy peanut butter
1 Tablespoon ground chia seeds or flaxseeds
4 oz goat milk yogurt or try goat milk kefir
Honey if desired (It was plenty sweet without it)
Meadowlark Heritage Goat Milk to preferred consistency
Place all ingredients in your blender (I used my Vitamix) except the goat milk. Blend until smooth and slowly add the goat milk til you reach your desired consistency.
You can also use frozen fruit to make the smoothie thicker and colder.
