As a topical moisturizer, the linoleic acid in safflower oil is thought to help maintain your outer skin layer by preventing flaking. Sweet almond oil is thought to protect against sun damage and dry skin. And high concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal ingredient for softening skin. Beeswax is known to carry anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties to heal skin while providing a wax barrier to keep moisture in without clogging pores.
