Made from the fleece of our own alpacas: Luna, Darby, Iona, Nutmeg, and Apple, Crimson Rose, Garnet, Lolly, & Lace here at the farm.
These rugs are handwoven from our own undyed fleece, approximately 30” x 42”. The beige, cream and fawn colors you see are the actual colors of our animals! The rug yarn is made with a core of wool, wrapped with our alpaca fiber. All you feel is our alpaca fiber which has been compared to cashmere. Some fiber is dyed to get these beautiful unique rugs.
Alpaca fleece is different from sheep's wool for its smooth, soft fibers that contain no lanolin, making them hypoallergenic to those allergic to traditional sheep's wool.
Alpaca yarns are hypoallergenic and odor resistant; they are temperature regulating and moisture-wicking.
And, oh my, these rugs are squish-ably, toe tapping soft! Perfect by your favorite chair, bed or in front of your sink or even under your desk.
