That’s why when it comes to our goat milk soaps, scrubs, and skincare, you won’t find synthetic fragrances, brightly colored mica powders, or sparkly plastic glitter. Just clean ingredients, real essential oils, and the goodness of fresh milk from goats we raise ourselves.

🌸 What’s Hiding in Most Fragrance Oils?

Fragrance oils might sound lovely—labeled as “Coconut Cream” or “Vanilla Sugar”—but many are anything but natural. Most conventional fragrance oils are made in labs using synthetic chemicals. They often contain:

• Phthalates, linked to hormone disruption

• Artificial preservatives, which can irritate sensitive skin

• Undisclosed additives, since companies aren’t required to list everything that’s in a “fragrance blend”

Many commercial and handcrafted soaps and scrubs boast bright colors and sparkly swirls, but behind the shimmer are ingredients that don’t belong on your skin—or in our water.

• Mica colorants are often mined unethically and may contain heavy metals

• Titanium dioxide, a whitening agent, is under increased health scrutiny

• Plastic glitter can cause microtears in the skin and pollute waterways

Some companies advertise "natural mica" as a safer alternative. But here's the truth: even naturally mined mica has its problems.

Mica is a shimmering mineral added to give products a sparkly, pearlescent glow - but offers ZERO ACTUAL BENEFITS to your skin. In fact, it can cause irritation, especially for sensitive or broken skin, and doesn't nourish or support healing in any way. That's not what we're about.

And while it may be marketed as "ethical" or "natural", mica is still tied to questionable mining practices, including child labor and heavy metal contamination in many parts of the world. Even in products like bath bombs or scrubs, mica can become airborne, and inhalation over time has been linked to respiratory issues.
